Dr. Marlon A. Mojica and Dr. Liane Vina G. Ocampo were recently invited as resource speakers in a training workshop organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in conjunction with the 32nd National Statistics Month held at the Bayleaf Cavite, with the theme “NSM@32: Revving Up for Economic and Social Recovery Through Evidence-Based Policies.”
Dr. Ocampo discussed about the critical process and appropriate methods of data collection, identifying and performing the appropriate descriptive statistical analyses, and presenting the results in an effective manner training. She also asked to participants to do simulation exercises.
Meanwhile, Dr. spoke about statistical inference as well as the most commonly used statistical techniques for micro and macroeconomic analysis in his presentation. He focused on minimizing the mathematical burden by employing a variety of statistical programs that can assist the participants in data processing and interpretation.
The training workshop was attended by employees of PSA-Cavite. (LVGOcampo)
